The Draft Energy (Solar Photovoltaic Systems) Regulations 2020

The Authority has revised the Energy (Solar Photovoltaic Systems) Regulations, 2012 and as a result developed the Draft Energy (Solar Photovoltaic Systems) Regulations, 2020 together with the associated Regulatory Impact Statement.

The aim of revising the regulations is to streamline the manufacture, importation, distribution, design, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of solar photovoltaic systems and components in Kenya.

Consequently, the Authority will on Friday, 11th December 2020 conduct a stakeholder consultation workshop on the Draft Regulations to get stakeholders’ input in validation of the regulations. The workshop will be both Physical and Virtual.
