Eng. Boniface Kinyanjui is the Ag. Director Electricity & Renewable Energy, where he provides leadership in the regulation, oversight, and development of Kenya’s electricity sub-sector.

He joined EPRA in 2024, bringing with him over 25 years of extensive experience in power systems engineering and electricity operations. Prior to his appointment, he served at Kenya Power from 1998 to 2024, where he held various technical and managerial roles, culminating in the position of Chief Engineer.

Eng. Kinyanjui holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Engineering. His strong background in power system management and operational excellence continues to support EPRA’s mandate to ensure reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity services across Kenya.
