Experience: At-least Fifteen (15) years’ post - admission and over a decade experience in the energy sector and legal corporate milieu.

He has previously held leadership positions as a Legal Counsel (Infrastructure Finance & Public Private Partnerships – PPP Directorate), Chief Legal Officer and Legal Services Manager at the National Treasury, Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC and Equity Bank of Kenya respectively, among others. 

He, among others, holds a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) in Public Finance & Financial Services Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) all from The University of Nairobi and a Post – Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.

He is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, Institute of Certified Secretaries, The Chartered Governance Institute London, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya & UK - London), Institute of Directors (IoD – Kenya), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) and the World Association of PPP Units and Professionals (WAPPP). 

A luminary in the legal, regulatory, governance and compliance space, he is a recipient of multiple accolades and legal excellence awards having been awarded the Institute of Certified Secretaries Commendation, feted and featured in the Legal500 General Counsel Power list for year’s 2025 & 2024 and as the Public Sector Lawyer of the Year 2022 under the auspices of the Law Society of Kenya.
